BSL Interpretation provided throughout

Ciaran O’Brien, an Art & Design Foundation student at Bristol School of Art, leads a BSL tour of the current exhibitions at Spike Island: Meriç Algün Day Craving Night and Imran Perretta the destructors.

This exhibition tour is designed for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community and Ciaran will provide BSL interpretation throughout (please note there will be no voiceover during this tour).

Ciaran will explore how both artists’ delve into ideas of identity and belonging, how political borders influence contemporary society, and the ways in which the artists experiment with the production of meaning in spite of limitations due to their nationality or background.

Following the tour, we welcome you to join us for complimentary tea or coffee in Spike Island Café and to share your feedback. This will help us to improve our future offer for the Deaf and hard of hearing community.
