Help us support artists to thrive

Spike Island is a thriving creative ecology home to artists, designers, students and other practitioners. It is unlike anywhere else in the United Kingdom as a place for the production, exhibition and discussion of contemporary art.

Each year we must raise over 75% of our income, and as a registered charity, we rely on the generosity of individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporate funders.

With your help, we can continue to be a welcoming home for Bristol’s creative community. Your support is vital in helping Spike Island keep our world-class contemporary art centre open, our exhibitions and events free to enter and accessible to all.

We believe art is central to society, offering new perspectives and ways of thinking about the world. Your support is needed now more than ever.

“I am delighted to be a Patron of Spike Island. Spike Island is unique in discovering artists, often with their first big show, many of whom go on to wider recognition and Turner prize nominations. ” – Jerry Cowhig, MBE
