Information

Following the government announcement that England is entering a period national lockdown, our galleries and café will close from Thursday 5 November until at least Wednesday 2 December 2020.

Our exhibition Denzil Forrester Itchin & Scratchin and Emmeline Café are open this Wednesday 4 November, 12–4pm, and closed thereafter.

Emmeline Café at Spike Island is a fresh, bright and friendly community café bar with a focus on wholesome food and drink and conscious environmental practices.

We take pride in our healthy approach to making delicious food for all tastes and dietary requirements, whilst maintaining close links with local suppliers and producers.

“...[A] vibrant little south Bristol spot, where it is all too easy to while away a morning over a hot coffee and fresh, flaky pastry.” – Ellie Pipe, Bristol 247

On the counter are grilled sandwiches, salad boxes, cakes, pastries and breakfast pots (eat in or take away). At lunchtime our kitchen serves several hot dishes which change daily. Our varied brunch menu is served at the weekend, alongside Bloody Mary’s and fresh juices.

Access

Our café has step-free access and a spacious layout in which we nurture a lively, community-focused space to work, relax and connect with the heart of Spike Island.
