Spike Island Café is a warm and welcoming place to enjoy lunch, meet over coffee, or enjoy a moment for reflection following your exhibition visit.

Our menu

Our menu changes with the seasons, but one thing stays the same: we always use organic and locally sourced ingredients to make delicious and wholesome dishes. From soups with homemade bread to savoury tarts with seasonal salads, plus daily specials such as dahls and macaroni cheese, there is always something for everyone.

Along with a cup of coffee or tea, treat yourself to homemade cakes, biscuits, brownies and flapjacks. Gluten free and vegan options are available every day.

All food is available to take away.

Accessibility

We are an accessible café with step-free access and well-spaced furniture throughout the café. We offer high chairs, and are a breast feeding friendly café. Free WiFi is available to all customers.

On sunny days, our outside seating area overlooking the Avon New Cut is a great spot to relax and chat with friends over a cold drink, glass of wine or beer.

“We had really good fresh food here. Highly recommended. I visited with my family, who are discerning, fussy and allergic, and they were all well satisfied.” – Google Review by Danny Bonnett

“...a pretty amazing cafe with a great cake selection, I took the bullet and tasted a bit of all three, just for research purposes.” – Tigerlilly Quinn
