It’s a space where artists, designers, writers, students, artist-led organisations and creative businesses can work together to make Bristol a great city to visit — and a great place to make art.
With over 70 affordable artists’ studios, Spike Island helps artists stay in Bristol. We provide space for emerging and established practitioners working across all media. Our community is a place where artists can develop their careers, knowledge and networks.
As well as our artists’ studios, we are home to a range of artist-led organisations and creative businesses, Spike Print Studio, Spike Design, a café, UWE Bristol’s Fine Art programmes, and much more.
And, of course, our community is also made up of the people who visit us to discover contemporary art, be inspired, learn something new, and enjoy the atmosphere.
