Join us for an exhibition tour designed for parents and carers of babies. Led by Bristol-based producer Jane Porter, explore our current exhibitions Eric Baudelaire and Alvin Curran: When There Is No More Music to Write and Tanoa Sasraku: Terratypes.
Bring Your Baby tours make it easy for parents to bring their babies to art exhibitions. The tours aim to be affordable and at a time that fits easily with their daily routine.
You may find it easier to bring your baby in a sling so that there is more space to move around in the galleries. However, if this doesn’t work for you, buggies are not a problem and Spike Island has space for a buggy park. You are welcome to feed your baby during the tour (chairs are available). Don’t worry if you are running late, it can be hard getting anywhere on time with a baby!
JANE PORTER
The tours are led by Jane Porter, who worked as an arts Producer in Bristol for ten years before changing her career after having two children. She set up Bring Your Baby in 2017 as a response to what she felt was a lack of activities that were designed for parents during her own maternity leave. Since leaving the arts Jane has trained in horticulture and this year is showing her first show garden at Chelsea Flower Show. A series of BYB tours of gardens is currently being planned for the Autumn as well as continuing the gallery tours in organisations across Bristol.
