Spin Cycle
Spin Cycle's three participating artists: Runa Islam, Damien Roach and Hiraki Sawa were resident together at Spike Island for three months, from June to September 2004, to produce new work towards this ambitious exhibition and publication project. This book documents the project and includes an introduction by Lucy Byatt, former director of Spike Island, as well as new texts Intersecting Notes on Spin Cycle by Nav Haq, curator of Spin Cycle; This is Going to be Really Funny: Notes on Art, its Institutions and Their Presumed Criticality by Maria Lind; and Decibel: Running to Stand Still by Niru Ratnam. Islam, Roach and Sawa contribute special artist's pages.
