Novel Writers

These monthly literature events focussing on debut novelists are a chance to discover new books, new literary talent and discuss the art of writing. Each month a first time author will read from and talk about their work in an informal and relaxed setting. Readers can discover the inspiration and themes behind the novel, the creative process and the journey to publication. Extracts from the text are available upon booking.

Bristol based author and winner of the Costa book Award, Nathan Filer's debut is an extraordinary portrait of one man's struggle with schizophrenia and his descent into mental illness. Inventively conceived, with drawings, varying typefaces and typographic tricks it is a brave and ground-breaking novel from one of the most exciting new voices in fiction. Join us as Nathan reads from and discusses his work.
