1. Spike Island Refund policy for the sale of event tickets
1.1. This contract sets out both your and our rights and responsibilities, as well as certain key information required by law.
1.2. In this contract:
- ‘We’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ means Spike Island Artspace Limited; and
- ‘You’ or ‘your’ means the person using our website to buy goods from us.
2. Terms and Conditions for a refund:
2.2. You have until 3 days before the start of the event named on the ticket purchased to start a refund claim.
2.2 (a). ‘Ticket’ refers to any item bought through our website or partner website (i.e Eventbrite) that is required by us for you to gain admission to an event
2.2 (b). ‘Ticket’ does not refer to any optional donations made during purchase and we will not refund any donations.
2.3. If you would like a refund, you must inform us of your decision by either starting the refund process through our partner ticket website (Eventbrite), or by contacting us directly with a clear statement (such as a letter sent by email or post) at admin@spikeisland.org.uk or Spike Island, 133 Cumberland Road, Bristol BS1 6UX, UK.
2.4. Refund requests must be sent to us at least 3 days before the start date of the event names on the purchased ticket. We will refund the original value of any purchased tickets within 30 days of the request being made.
2.5. If you make a refund request within 3 days of the event starting, this will not fulfill the conditions provided in clause 2.1. Therefore, we will not accept any refund request and no money will be refunded.
3. Effects of refund request
3.1 If you request a refund, we will reimburse you all payments received from you, excluding any booking fees purchased at the time of original transaction.
3.2 We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction.
4. Summary of some of your key legal rights
4.1. We adhere to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Under Section 28 (h), the supply of “services related to leisure activities, if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.” is not covered by a 14-day cancellation policy.
