Each year, Spike Island offers fellowships to promising emerging artists selected through an open call to graduating students. Fellows are awarded a studio at Spike Island for one year, giving them space and support to develop their professional practices within Bristol’s vibrant artistic community.
Join us for an evening of presentations, installations and networking with the Spike Island community, wishing best of luck to our outgoing and incoming Fellows.
This event sees our new Graduate Fellows 2026–27 introduce themselves and their practices, alongside our outgoing Graduate Fellows 2025–26, who share their experiences and aspirations for the future.
A group exhibition featuring artwork by all of the Fellows will be presented alongside the event. The exhibition will be open to the public throughout the evening, and viewable by appointment only until Sunday 1 October.
There will also be a paid bar with drinks and snacks available throughout the evening.
Graduate Fellows for 2026–27:
Charli-Ann Padilla (UWE Bristol), Martha Fox (UWE Bristol), Tess Foley (UWE Bristol) and George Morgan (Bath Spa University).
Graduate Fellows 2025–26:
Noah Cole (UWE Bristol), Taiki Nakagawa (UWE Bristol), Will Hilless (UWE Bristol) and Nahraine Al-Khafaji (Bath Spa University).
Schedule:
- 5–6pm: Drinks and snacks available, alongside a group exhibition by the Fellows
- 6–7.30pm: Presentations in the Associates Space
- 7.30–8pm: Network and view the Fellows’ exhibition
