Michael Hayter (b.1961) is a portrayer of the human condition, taken from the perspective of personal experience.

His work is an investigation into interior worlds, extremity, power, vulnerability, isolation, and that point at which the individual meets society. His childhood is a powerful influence and a rich source of material.

He works in a variety of media, and has exhibited in Europe and in galleries throughout the UK.

Michael believes strongly in the nurturing of creativity in others and has worked with students to this end.

His work features in private collections in the UK, Europe, Australia and the US.
