Jo’s practice is materials-led, exploring ideas through making drawings and three-dimensional works. She’s curious about the emotional affect of colour and form, how sensory experience shapes our thoughts and sense of self.
Repeated motifs such as knots, nets and grids often appear—forms that suggest patterns of growth, navigation, or the meandering nature of thought itself.

Recent exhibitions and commissions include A Gathering, APT Gallery London (2024); Many leaves turn, StudioKind, Devon (2024); Points of Attachment, The Verge, Glasgow (2022) and One thousand flowers, Mangotsfield Folly, Bristol (2022).
She received an a-n bursary in 2026 and an Arts Council England’s DYCP grant in 2021. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art and completed an MFA at Concordia University in Montreal, supported by a Commonwealth Scholarship.
