Iris Thorsteinsdottir is an Icelandic artist based in Bristol, UK. She holds a Master’s degree in photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Inspired by Iceland’s captivating landscapes and rich folklore, her work delves into the interplay between absence and presence, humanity and nature, the past and present. Recent projects focus on landscapes imbued with human touch and abandoned structures, inviting viewers to explore the delicate balance between human activity and the natural world. Her works have been exhibited at the SFMOMA Artist Gallery in San Francisco, the Royal Academy of Arts in London, and the Hay Hill Gallery, Cork Street, London amongst others.
