Spike Island presents a virtual exhibition of Pacita Abad on theVOV

Spike Island is proud to join theVOV – a new virtual ecosystem that presents landmark contemporary art exhibitions for you to enjoy live and on demand.

We’re delighted to be part of the founding fifteen UK public arts organisations on this new journey into the ‘Phygital Era’ where the physical and digital coexist closer than ever.

Join us on 19 April for a virtual revival of the Spike Island exhibition Pacita Abad: Life in the Margins. This was the first exhibition in the UK by Filipino American artist Pacita Abad (1946–2004). Curated in collaboration with London-based artist Pio Abad, the exhibition at Spike Island included twenty large-scale ‘trapunto’ paintings and works on fabric made between 1983 and 2002.

With three seminal exhibitions launching every Monday, there’s something for everyone to discover on #theVOV. Explore behind-the-scenes content, take part in a dynamic programme of live events and workshops, and experience art galleries and museums like never before – all on one digital destination.

Follow @theVOVart to learn more. See you there!
