Spike Island is Expanding: Introducing Workspace West
Since its beginnings as a creative hub, Spike Island has been home to a vibrant creative ecosystem. Alongside our gallery and 70+ artist studios, Spike Island’s 80,000 ft² building is home to a range of businesses working in fields including theatre, animation, arts education, graphic design, and even providing opportunities for people in prison to create and sell artwork.
Our Spike Island Workspace has long provided a supportive environment for a diverse array of creatives. Purpose-built to support 36 small businesses, it offers space for tenants to work and connect with Spike Island’s wider artistic community.
We are excited to announce that this summer, we are expanding our available spaces even further with the launch of Workspace West.
Opening this July, Spike Island Workspace West will provide 19 additional workspaces for creative businesses and individuals. This brand-new space, located in the west wing of our former factory building, will feature single and shared desk spaces, bookable meeting rooms, and a range of resources for early to mid-career businesses in the creative industries.
Construction is currently underway, and we will be welcoming new tenants from July. Tours of the new spaces are available throughout this month by appointment.
