The West of England Visual Arts Alliance has released a final round of Spike Island Associates Bursaries as part of their Arts Council England funded three-year programme.
The West of England Visual Arts Alliance is working to transform the future of visual arts in the region by providing opportunities and development towards a more progressive, sustainable and inclusive sector.
The Associates Bursaries provide free membership to the Spike Island Associates programme for underrepresented groups, and at least 50% of them are reserved for people in Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. The bursaries are open to people who identify as D/deaf, disabled or neurodivergent, come from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds and/or people from Global Majority backgrounds.
Spike Island Associates is a professional development network for artists, curators, designers, writers and producers at all stages of their careers. Members span multiple disciplines and share a common interest in collaboration, experimentation and a desire to learn new skills.
Membership includes:
- Access to Associates programmed events
- Dedicated 24/7 access to a communal workspace at Spike Island
- Access to computers, a projector, photocopier and reference library
- Monthly e-newsletter with selected funding, commissioning and other opportunities
- Free or discounted admission to Spike Island’s talks, events and activities
- Your name and website linked from our website
