Spike Island is looking for new Trustees to join our Board.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

People who are enthusiastic about and committed to contemporary art, and who are sympathetic to the needs of artists. We are also seeking Trustees who will add to and complement the skills and experience of other Board members.

In terms of expertise, the Board is seeking candidates with particular expertise in the following areas:

  • Visual arts sector experience, and / or a practising artist
  • Capital campaigns, strategic planning and fundraising
  • Finance and management accounting (Treasurer role)
  • HR expertise

If you feel your skills and experience might match any of these areas, we encourage you to apply.

We need our Board of Trustees to be representative of our city, the artists and arts professionals we work with, and the audiences we seek to engage. We therefore strongly encourage applications from people who identify as being from any of the following groups which are currently underrepresented on our Board: Black or Global Majority, young (under 30), disabled, LGBTQI+, working class or from a lower socioeconomic area of Bristol.
