Help shape the future of art

Spike Island is a thriving creative ecosystem that supports the practices of over 800 artists and creative practitioners on a daily basis. As a place where learning, making and world-class exhibitions come together under one roof, our model is truly unique in the UK. This enables us to offer holistic support and opportunities to artists at different stages of their careers, from students to future Turner Prize winners.

Our vision is to shape the future of art by being a space where artists can think and dream freely, where experimentation is nurtured and ambitions can be unbounded. In a world where artists face unprecedented pressures, it is crucial that we provide a context where that vulnerable space of creativity is preserved and protected, so that new ideas can be born.

As a registered charity, we rely on the generosity of individuals, corporate partners, trusts and foundations to help us fulfil our mission.

Your support will play a vital role in helping us to commission ambitious new work, keep our exhibitions free for all and our artists’ studios affordable.
