Jane Faram

Jane studied Contemporary Art Practice and English Literature at Leeds University (2005-08). She volunteered with various arts organisations in Sheffield before taking the role of Gallery Assistant at Site Gallery in 2008. Additionally, she has worked at Museums Sheffield, Vincent Dance Theatre (Sheffield) and Neon Workshops (Wakefield), while reviewing exhibitions and theatre productions for independent magazines and online platforms, including Our Favourite Places.

Over seven years she progressed to the role of Public Programme and Gallery Manager at Site Gallery, devising a programme of large and small-scale public events involving artists, academics, arts professionals and young people, and planning marketing strategies with a digital focus, whilst managing the visitor services, volunteer programme and gallery shop.

In April 2015 Jane joined Spike Island as Communications Manager. Her role focuses upon shaping dynamic relationships between art, artists and audiences through the development and delivery of a communications strategy.
