Study Day: Exploring Film and Video Presentation

Wednesday 24 January 2018, 10am–4pm

£5/£3 (free for Random Acts alumni)

Event type

This all-day event explores the possibilities for film and video presentation beyond linear, single screen display. Aimed at early career artists, it is a chance to meet and learn from experienced artists and arts professionals as they share their ideas and knowledge of exhibiting moving image.

The day includes a technical demonstration, a temporary installation by an artist in the gallery, an artist and curators’ perspective and a hands-on 16mm film projection workshop. The sessions touch upon multi-screen presentation, artworks including sculptural or performative elements, non-linear and generative installations and works which draw focus to the material, format or playback device.
