Talks

The cryptic paintings and sound pieces in our current exhibition In Here Stands It have been produced by Ivan Seal largely through intuitive and chance-based processes. The artist draws inspiration widely from sources such as modernist literature, post-punk, linguistics and “Thing theory”.

Seal returns to Spike Island to discuss these interests and the development of his practice with writer, curator and gallerist Carl Freedman.
