This annual city wide event invites visitors to explore some of Bristol’s most intriguing architectural gems.

At Spike Island, behind-the-scenes tours are a chance to learn about the building’s history as a tea packing factory and its current use as a home for artists, designers, creative businesses and students.

Tours on the hour, 10am–4pm. Book here

Please note – Road Closures during Tour of Britain

Cumberland Road and Coronation Road are closed for the Tour of Britain on Saturday 10 September. We recommend the following travel options to reach Spike Island:

Take a Harbourside Walk

No. 7 boats: from Capricorn Quay to the S.S Great Britain (just two minutes walk from here to Spike Island.) 

Bristol Ferry Boats: Hotwells route which also stops at S.S Great Britain.
