Cara Evans graduated with a degree in Creative Arts Practice from Bath Spa University in 2022.

Evans’ work explores themes of identity through the lens of the domestic, everyday culture and human connection. Taking inspiration from her own cultural experiences as a Welsh woman and from her familial memories, her practice is deeply connected to the Welsh word ‘Hiraeth’ – a nostalgic longing for something, of home and culture. Evans’ finds herself floating between Welsh and English, often exploring this duality through her practice. She works across many media and techniques, including painting, textiles, sculpture and more recently, installation.
