Spike Island is seeking a self-motivated and hands-on Operations Supervisor with practical experience of facilities and operations to join our small team.
The Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in the safe and consistent running of our busy cultural venue. We are looking for an organised, resilient and resourceful individual to supervise the effective and efficient running of Spike Island’s building, facilities and services.
Working efficiently and pragmatically, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the building, workshops and facilities. Reporting to the Operations and Services Manager, this will include arranging and conducting regular maintenance and safety procedures throughout the building in collaboration with our community of artists and building users, supporting the Front of House teams in the provision of our public events and operations, and working with specialist contractors, overseeing their work and maintaining positive relationships for the benefit of the organisation.
We welcome applications from confident and skilled communicators with relevant operational experience who are capable of working flexibly, independently and holistically across our complex site.
