Andy HoldenLaws of Motion in a Cartoon Landscape
Holden, in collaboration with curator Tyler Woolcott, presents a performance lecture that takes up the task of rewriting physics. The work starts from an observation of the experiments and mishaps of Wile E. Coyote, Bugs Bunny and other characters, and combines physics and theory with cartoon clips in an attempt to make sense of art and its possibilities. Holden ultimately proposes the Laws as a manifesto for making art and thinking about what might come after art history.
