An exhibition featuring artists from RUNG (issue 1). RUNG is a grassroots project which aims to support emerging artists through providing an alternative ‘gallery’ space via print and online.
RUNG (issue 1) is a tabloid style newsprint publication with an accompanying website, both of which launched in June 2018.
Over 40 artists were included in the first issue, and its curators Frances Kelly and Isobel Emberson have selected five for this Test Space exhibition: Dinosaur Kilby, Karl Russell Vickers, Harrie Fuller, Kane Cottrell and Buoys Buoys Buoys (AKA John Jones). The works range from collage, performance, sculpture to digital animation.
Test Space is programmed by studio holders based at Spike Island and offers artists a chance to exhibit new works and test ideas. Artists from within the Spike Island community and beyond are included.
