Spike Design Open Wednesday

Spike Design is a working space for creative businesses that offers a lively culture of collaboration and community. Home to a range of designers, photographers, illustrators and journalists, it opens its doors once a month to potential residents for a day of free hot desking and networking.

Each Open Wednesday also includes a lunchtime talk on a topic related to creative or business elements of design practice. At the March event, representatives of The Prince’s Trust present their schemes for supporting enterprise amongst young people and opportunities for getting involved as a mentor. This takes place from 1 to 2pm in Spike Design.

The Prince's Trust

The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives. It gives practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation. It works with 13 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. The Prince's Trust has helped more than 600,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day. More than three in four young people it helped last year moved into work, education or training.
