This monthly reading group is a platform for discovering and discussing current topics in art, cultural theory and literature. These spring events invite participants to consider, amongst other themes, the relationship between poetry and spoken word, experimental writing and autobiography, the ritual and the political.

Writer and editor Natalie Ferris leads the June session, introducing the work of boundary-pushing author and critic Christine Brooke-Rose, who passed away last year, in a discussion of Thru (1974–1975). Perhaps her most typographically dexterous and playful novel, the book was written over a number of years while Brooke-Rose was teaching at the radical Université de Paris VIII in Vincennes.
