Spike Island

Spike Island is recruiting a Chair

Spike Island is recruiting a new Chair. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who is able to support the development of the organisation into the future. He or she will be a passionate and committed champion of the arts and its role in society, with board experience.

Spike Island supports and develops emerging art and works to sustain and grow the visual arts ecology across Bristol and the South West. It has a committed Board of Trustees and a professional and dedicated staff team. The new Chair will join after a period of growth and development that has seen a merger with moving image specialists Picture This, membership of the Plus Tate network and significantly increased annual revenue funding from Arts Council England.

We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
